High school football kicked off Thursday night in Ohio. Two games were played in Stark County and the road team won each after sitting through lightning delays — Perry won big at Central Catholic, and Sandy Valley won in the final minute at Fairless. The rest of the area teams opened play Friday night, with Massillon's win over Valdosta (Ga.) and Alliance's win at Lake being among the highlights.
